YOUNG ADULT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL (YALC)
The i[2]y Young Adult Leadership Council (YALC) is an all-volunteer brigade of authority-questioning, diffident-yet-committed, sardonic-yet-cromulent, and disruptive-though-possibly-Canadian young adults affected by cancer who totally dig our angle and are up to the challenge of doing our evil bidding at a moment's notice. YALC represents the next generation of totally committed champion for the 'cancer under 40' movement; a pioneer in their own space who is looking not just for rhetoric but action to change the way we think about cancer in our own generation; a generation that has been lost in a gap and ignored by the system; a generation that is pissed off; a generation that does not benefit from the efforts (support, research, early detection and prevention) of the big box cancer organizations who are saving lives for boomers and seniors but not for us. "How can I join such a prestigious body?", you say? Why then, visit the YALC homepage.
