WE ARE STILL HERE

It takes more than 'being cured' to survive cancer. (What does that mean anyway?) It takes resilience, creativity, audacity, and irreverence because cancer is changing. What was once simply a death sentence is slowly becoming, for many, a life sentence.

Our value is that your life is a work of art, unique, expressive and capable of taking you places that you could never imagine. Cancer doesn't change that. It's gift is a blank canvas—and when faced with the realities of cancer, the art of survivorship is all about how you choose to get busy living.

WE ARE STILL HERE.
  • We were founded by cancer survivors and for cancer survivors.
  • We believe passionately that personal expression through music and the arts are central to living a balanced and fulfilled life.
  • We believe that everyone has the power to get busy living by expressing themselves, sharing their stories and celebrating their journey.
WE ARE STILL HERE.
  • We've been hooked up to machines just to keep us alive.
  • We've been told we have six months to live.
  • We've been told we'd never sing, dance or play guitar again.
  • We've been told to plan for the inevitable.
WE ARE STILL HERE.
  • But we wrote music, lyrics and poems, took countless pictures, kept a journal, painted and danced, picked up that guitar and strummed away.
  • We don't squander our survivorship—we manifest it.
  • We get busy living because we choose to.
WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.
  • We inspire you to create.
  • We help you connect
  • We encourage you to unite.
YOU ARE HERE FOR YOU.
  • Survivorship is a badge of honor that no one asks for.
  • It pushes you to your breaking point.
  • And gives you permission to take a step back.
  • It is an opportunity to make time count and not to count time.
WE ARE ALL HERE FOR EACH OTHER.
  • It doesn't work any other way.
  • Defragment.
  • Collaborate.
  • Mobilize.
THE i[2]y PHILOSOPHY
  • Be true to yourself.
  • Be your own advocate.
  • Stay connected to that which has meaning in your life.
  • Realize that it is possible to survive.
  • It's not about how long you live but how you live.
  • Be the best you can be every step of the way.
  • The art of survivorship is all about how you choose to get busy living.
WE ARE STILL HERE.
