MMMMMMM.....SHINY NEW WEBSITE
Earlier this year, the i[2]y website was subtly relaunched after receiving tons of positive feedback on what could be improved. And so, we now feature redesigned navigation, better links to immediate resources (via the Get Help Now! link), a national chapter search, simpler connection to The Stupid Cancer Show and more obvious ways to connect with our social network profiles. And as if that's not enough, just wait until you see what we have in store for you this Summer! Oh, and a new shortcut to get to us – http://i2y.com

Stupid Cancer Happy Hour
STUPID CANCER HAPPY HOUR!
SCHH is our signature local social event. We don't do relays, races, ridings, 5K saunters or team trainings. With us, it's just you, your friends, possibly a few awkward co-workers, some sauce, some boogie and good old stupid cancer. Since the NYC event that started it all last July, over 10 SCHH-style events have been organized in 5 states, including a 2nd one in NYC, Northern NJ, Southern NJ, LA, Denver, and DC. For '08, new ones are being planned in Cincinnati, Rochester, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, Dallas, Austin and Melbourne, Australia!

NEW REPORT ACTUALLY MATTERS
Cancer care in the 21st century often provides state-of-the-science biomedical treatment, but fails to address the psychological and social (psychosocial) problems associated with the experience of illness. Blah Blah Blah. What does this all mean to you? It means that *finally* it's not all about "THE CURE". It's about quality of life and not necessarily quantity of life. You know... survivorship? Heck, if *that's* the cure and they just come right out and say it, maybe all those relay for living strongly pink ribbon races ain't so bad. Check it out.

WHAT WOULD SUSAN DO?
"The Cost Of Living", Matthew Zachary's disturbingly honest essay series, is this time taking aim at PINK. The latest installment, "What Would Susan Do", pokes a stick at Komen by making the connection that if Susan Koman, the actual woman who passed away from breast cancer in 1980 for whom the organization was originally founded, were alive today, her needs as a young adult with cancer would not be met by her own namesake billion dollar foundation. This is GenX/Y's own personal fight. Read it. Digg it. Blog it.
